DESTINATIONS

37th edition of the Platja d’Aro Carnival, from 22nd February to 5th March 2014, with some thirty different activities. The street becomes the main stage and hosts two-thirds of the programme. The City Council and the Federation of Associations maintains its commitment to a popular and family-friendly Carnival with only three activities which charge. Highlights include Dinner of the 'Colles' (Associations), (Saturday, 22nd February at 9 pm), the Children's and Youths' Parade and ‘Canvi d’Atributs’- character costumes - (Sunday 23rd February at 11.00 am and 7.00 pm), ‘Fat’ Thursday (27th February), and the Grand Parade of Floats and Troupes (Saturday, 1st March): at 4.00 pm the 65 groups eligible for the prize will parade and, at 11.00 am, a dozen or so more who are not in the competition.
