The 2013-2014 list produced by renowned critic Robert Parker has rated fifty DO Empordà wines as excellent or very good. Specifically, twenty wines are awarded the category of excellent with scores of 90 points or more. With 94 points, Castell Peralada’s Ex Ex 10 is the Empordà wine with the highest score, followed by Ino (Masia Serra), Camí de Cormes (Roig Parals) and Vd'0 6 11 (Vinyes d'Olivardots), each scoring 93 points. The other Empordà wines to make the excellent category are Masia Carreras Negre and Masia Carreras Blanc and Flor d'Albera (Celler Martí Fabra); Perafita Negre (Celler Martín Faixó); Sota els Àngels Negre, Sota els Àngels Blanc and Desea (Sota els Àngels); V'd'O 1 10 (Vinyes d'Olivardots); Plus (Mas Oller); Finca Malaveïna and Finca Garbet (Castell Peralada); Airam, Comabruna and Terres negres (Espelt Viticultors); Ctònia (Masia Serra) and Amic (Clos d'Agon). Thirty more DO Empordà wines received a rating of very good by the renowned international list. DO Empordà is the fourth Catalan name in terms of number of wines referenced on the list, behind only Priorat, Penedès and Montsant.
